How about putting token rewards on “sale” for 25-50% cheaper for 48 hrs?

The way to accomplish the same thing without pissing anyone off is giving away a SHIT LOAD of tokens through challenges, TTO, locker code. Even people who just unlocked something can’t complain about more tokens.

Token rewards were cheaper at the beginning of the game’s release, so they essentially have already done it for some people.
Considering the token GO’s aren’t really great compared to auctionable cards I don’t see why they can’t start doing this now.

Absolutely. Even the best token GO (Worthy) probably goes for like 150k on the AH? Maybe even less? So two challenges for the equivalent of 75k each? Not worth as much because the entirety of the token market is not better than auctionables and you can only choose from them. That’s pretty generous but not ridiculous.
Also…when has 2K EVER cared about pissing off anyone in the community? It’s a rhetorical question btw, because we all know the answer…NEVER!
I think the change from time-based locker codes to the ball drop locker codes was a concerted effort to piss off less people. And they succeeded. I hate to say it but we have to give them some credit for that one.
I don’t have any tokens, neither do i plan to acquire any for the GO token rewards, but if i had just redeemed a 750/1750 token player and a day later they went on sale for 400/800 tokens, i would be pretty pissed with 2k.
No different than them dropping a new card, super packs, or a locker code that kills the resale value of your cards.
How many people bought PD Melo, or owned one just to have 2K kill his value with a locker code?
They need to steal the idea of trade-in sets for these opals. I’d love to quick sell about half of my opals and get some tokens back.
