I know off ball has a ton of advantages

But who here still plays on ball defense?

Honestly my favorite part of the game, sure there is some b/s that prevents me from being as good as I was prior years… but I still enjoy it!

I onball in friendlies. Online I’m more of a hybrid, but I do end up leaning towards more offball.

you have to sometimes…players can easily turbo around cpu with giannis

and for pick and rolls you absolutely need to onball if opponent is good or you’re giving up 3s all game

Switch between on/off depending on what the player is doing. I switch between all 5 of my players on defense every possession for positioning/bait reasons

I will say 90% of the people I’ve played have the same tactic so the same 3 sets off dribble moves, hunting for 3s

the one thing I absolutely hate, i will do a quick defensive switch , and if I don’t icon it switches me to a player no where near the person with the ball at times

I’ve noticed of late, and this is not necessarily against the most comp guys, but if you can win the guessing game of what someone is trying to do as well as rotate into the passing lanes fast enough, on ball defense can be OP as heck and frustrate opponents massively.

Guys who have enough HOF brick walls and know how to use screens though can make on ball a nightmare.

I prefer to play on ball unless I have to get sweaty. I’ve been offballing in tto like a trashcan and letting the cpu take jordan and pip

I was 100% onball in 2k19. I find it almost impossible to not offball in 2k20. MTU has literally become a battle of of who can break the game better. The passing lane steals and baiting is almost unbearable. It’s so refreshing to play a normal man to man MTU game. I played one this morning and lost, but it was actually fun to play a normal game.

Bruh onball so fun, especially cause u know u worked for it, those wins taste so much sweeter, the amount of switching and moving ur players is a skill In itself, offball is for those with no skill tbh, “I do what I need to, to win” ya ur also a bich :joy:

It’s easy for them to fix it. Just make the CPU controlled defenders easy to best of the dribble, no matter if it’s Rodman or Kawhi.

This like going to a prison and asking them who in here is innocent . they all gonna tell you they are but are they really no way to tell for sure lol.

As the president of the offball committee, I will on occasion play onball, but I gotta have the right mindset, no distractions and can’t be sleepy( I play at night alot)

Lol I played park for years this is my 1st year on my team didnt know about offball till recently I thought everyone was on a next level compared to me :crazy_face:

I primarily play offball with LeBron and when they pass the ball to the guy LeBron guarding think I’m ass at onball defense, but surprise, surprise, I’m just as good at onball as I am at offballing
