The format of having two hoops for a one-on-one game just doesn’t make sense to me.
Watched a good bit of the video. Definitely not my cup of tea. The concept would be cool with actual NBA players or former NBA players.
I think they want to make sure to have transition and a fast break, especially because they weight dunks as 3 points.
I just think garbage buckets are the least interesting aspect of one-on-one, doesn’t make sense to incentivize it.
Only watched one clip so not sure about the “gameplay balance” decision. My thought is maybe that, with how much physical contact is allowed, it creates a choice between playing ultra-physical defense versus keeping oneself in prime rebounding position.
