Rank your top ten NBA teams as of right now

If the season started today, how would you rank the top 10 teams? I would go

10 Portland
9 Utah
8 Celtics
7 Denver
6 76ers
5 Houston
4 GSW
3 Milwaukee
2 Lakers

I’m considering that Klay’s out for the season and that Nurkic isn’t coming back until after all-star break.
Without those players on their respective teams, defenses are a joke.
I’d have Indy in there, but Oladipo also won’t be ready at the start of the season.

You guys really not putting a team with Steph Curry and Draymond still in their prime, with Kerr as coach, in the top ten? Y’all really putting Pacers and Spurs ahead of GSW even in their current state?

When is dipo supposed to return?

Name me one decent perimeter defender on the Warriors.
Unless Draymond (and somewhat Looney) manage to guard 5 people at once, they’re gonna be leaking 130ppg.
I’ve witnessed the same situation last season with the Spurs. All-nba caliber defender (Murray) out for the season and Spurs were leaking like 130ppg when White was injured for 2 weeks or so. Average teams scored at will. That will happen to the Warriors.

Spurs didn’t lose a single playoff rotation player, Murray’s back, young guys are improving and Derozan got used to the system. Also added a good defender in Carroll.
If two of Murray/White/Walker live up to the hype, Spurs are in contention for top4 seeds.

Not sure, from what I’ve read it’s around late November or early December.
But then you have to take into account that it will take him some months to get to 100%.

Same goes for Porzingis. I don’t expect him to be at 100% until like all-star break or so. He missed nearly two full seasons.

Regular season records could look something like:

  1. Nuggets
  2. Bucks
  3. Lakers
  4. Clippers
  5. Rockets
  6. 76ers
  7. Warriors
  8. Jazz
  9. Portland/Spurs

For championship favorite, I gotta go with Clippers. Wouldn’t bet against Kawhi with another solid supporting cast and now another MVP caliber sidekick.

Lakers will pose the biggest challenge.

Curry and Durant, the other active players who have actually been the number one option on a championship team, aren’t on contending teams this coming season (due to injury obviously).

I see Nuggets and Bucks as capable of upsets, but not very likely.

Rockets are a true wildcard. No idea what to expect of them.

76ers are overrated. I think they’ll be a 4th seed this yr

Lakers
6ers
Clippers
Nuggets
Bucks
Rockets
Warriors
Pacers

Ion know bro

Ben
Richardson
Tobias Harris
Al Horford
Embiid

With a solid bench is hard to be overrated they are legit the only team that matches Lakers head to head

i think losing butler and redick will have a big impact and i feel like they’re less athletic and might get run off the court

Reddick was a liability on defense literally Tobias will guard his matchups

Richardson is a tier below butler same style player

They also added al and he will run his position of choice PF

Give me Richardson and Al over Jimmy and Reddick anyday

I have to respectfully disagree. I think Al has way more of an advantage at C and I think J Rich is nowhere near Butlers level. and they lost shooters
