i’ve been trying to get on and use the shitty myteam servers but my PS4 shuts off and says it’s too hot and wait for it to cool down.
i’ve let it sit for an hour on a cool surface and it still just shuts off. any tips?

Use a can of air duster on it
i’ve done that but it hasn’t gave me any positive results
I place mine on top of a small book instead of a flat surface to give the Fan some space.
Check and remove dust on the sides. There usually is on old PS4. Makes a huge difference when fixed.

For the record, you don’t have to buy a special ‘cleaning fluid’ to remove old pastes.
All acetonic fluids, nail polish removers will do the job (if any girls in the house lol). Hydrogen peroxide %30.

Nah this is not just for 2K, good solution for usual old PS4 problems.

I actually came here to post this. I upgraded to a Pro bc my original PS4 was literally about to take off.

The worst thing is, this happens in menus where it should actually be on standby. Too many unnecessary animations including glows next to cards, at least not optimized well.

Pro is no different in this game in terms of optimisation. You’ll have the full speed fan noise again.
Oh I know. 100%. Its just WAY quieter than the old one. Like night and day. The Pro gets noisy and then I dust it. All good. Thing is on 18hrs a day. Whether gaming or the little man watching a movie

seems like he fan is dead, could buy a replacement, but want to see if i can do anything to keep it running
About to buy a new ps4 pro because of this problem, had my ps4 since launch in 2013. Tried air can spray and exactly open the ps4 and clean everything nothing changes
