I love how they are like 400 cards behind schedule to release 2900 by the end of the cycle and they decide to scale back moment releases. We’ll get like 1-2 PD’s today, of cards we already have PD’s for.

It’s clear from recent Moments that 2K only wants to give cards to pack movers, so we should temper our expectations. I would guess that maybe 5 cards get released – a couple high-profile PDs (2 of Morant, Jokic, KAT), a couple Ds (2 of Randle, Murray, Collins, LeVert) and maybe an off-the-wall Amy (1 or 2 of Korkmaz, Kornet, Seth Curry, Beasley).

I could see something ridiculous come playoff time, each team that makes the playoffs gets a 97 pd of every player, then second round every player gets a 98, conference finals every player gets an Opal then for the finals a 99 everything.

Would certainly boost the card count.

They did something kinda like this last year, didn’t they? At least the team that won the finals (Raptors) all got GO’s… Lowry, Siakam, VanVleet, etc. But yeah if they want fools to collect nearly 3,000 cards to get a card that will be more or less comparable to an auctionable card once there’s enough cards they need to up the number of released cards.
