I have PD Melo locked and he is an offensive beast but plays limited minutes off the bench for me. Is it even worth upgrading to the Opal today for 450k max?
- For the defensive upgrades, yes
- He won’t be anywhere close to 450k if we get some fire
IMO Yes.
300+ More stats + Defense is Buffed w/ HOF Badges
True…
melo cold i bought him cheap i threw him up though cause if we get bird he’ll be better
I used them both and felt no difference. Serious. Defense is broken now anyways
If you plan on running him off the bench I don’t think you’ll feel a big difference with the PD, if you want him to be a focal point of your team and play him big minutes it’s probably worth it
Also don’t forget the 3pt plays
Idk if he’s worth it, but I just saw a Melo go for 330k on XB1, so he should be like 250 or below later on.
melo 400k on xbox. that 330k probably a glitch
Depends… are you happy with your mustang or do you want that Lamborghini
I’m obviously a huge Cs fan but my dilemma here is that Larry’s PD is way more useable on both sides than Melos. Melo needs to be upgraded to have defense at all and if I could only upgrade one while keeping the other I’d probably have to choose Melo.
Hof bruiser and pick pocket make it worth it
Opal steals blocks and defends the post. PD gets blown by
i was using opal melo yesterday and his dribble moves are different than his denver ones. plus birds dribble moves are crazy. melo was cool but im using bird over him for sure. i also hope brandon roy drops im tryna run him at point
I saw one go for one 160 during the crash. Fucking around with Jordan’s and missed it
Prolly just visual
I like the Opal a lot better, to be honest, and for a couple big reasons:
-
Defense. The GO is actually a lockdown perimeter defender with HOF Bruiser, Pick Pocket, and Pick Dodger… and 86 strength.
-
The GO has the Randy from Trailer Park Boys, if he was 6’8” player model, while also being fast AF. PD Melo is half as wide as GO Melo. GO Melo’s HOF Pick Dodger practically works by not actually dodging picks, but by making them harder for the offense to execute because the ball handler cannot quickly run around Melo’s massive gut.
-
He somehow has better offense, which I never thought possible.
Alright I’m convinced. Thank you!
Oh, @6thManSam… I forgot to tell you last week that D Rob & Kareem work well at the 4 & 5 together
