If you are still using the default joy-cons, STOP NOW. The Pro controller is a gazillion times better. The buttons on the joy-cons are too “clicky” which kind of ruins the console honestly. For things such as Smash Ultimate, the Pro controller is a MUST.

I’m currently using the Joy-Cons but I’m looking to pickup either a Pro-Controller or 3rd party controller. The Joy-Con controller thing that it came with was fine, but not amazing.

I bought my fiancée the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate controller and it is absolutely amazing. 100% worth the $80.
Yeah. Got it off Amazon because in store they’re almost always sold out. Night and day difference between joy con and Pro controller.
Had it since launch and finished breath of the wild with this controller. Can’t imagine playing for 100+ hours with the Joycons. Joycons only good for portable and multiplayer gameplay
Even then, rather play with the Switch in Tabletop Mode and carry my Pro on me. Very much worth it.
