Pretty sure even if theh signed Greg Popovich this would be the case.

Pop would bench them until they get over themselves.

I actually think Lue has the potential to be a very good coach, but won’t be taken seriously as long as he’s basically Lebron’s assistant.
And even though Lue being much better than the likes of Kidd and Jackson, signing him basically means that Lakers have been reduced to Cavs tier franchise under the reign of LeGM.
And although I obviously want to see Lakers fail, it’s sad that one of the biggest franchises has been turned to absolute garbage.
There’s a reason why Lebron was the best during his Heat years. It wasn’t just about age. It was about Riley not allowing him to do his usual shenanigans.
