Where Luke and Vader are speaking on Endor (before going to the Death Star), and Luke asks Vader to search his feelings and that he knows there’s still good in him.
Vader’s response may be one of the most underrated lines in the entire opera,
With how the prequel and sequel trilogies somewhat tarnished Star Wars in some people’s eyes, the writing in ESB and ROTJ will forever bring this franchise to everlasting salvation.
Rogue One came out of nowhere and became my favorite Star Wars movie. I love how the very next scene is A New Hope. That scene at the end with Vader is fucking amazing.
Same here. I still prefer the original trilogy, but I like the newer movies too. Rogue One was fun, especially everything in the third act. I really enjoyed Solo, although it didn’t do too hot with others. TLJ was alright, but too often I find myself referring to it as “a bad movie with awesome scenes” like when Poe takes on the Dreadnought or Rey and Kylo fight the guards towards the end.
Still, the original trilogy (Empire especially) will always hold a huge place in my heart. I can’t even count how often my girl has told me that she loves me and of course I respond with the iconic “I know.”
