They should have dropped a tribute to Kobe of some sort that resulted in a 99 everything GO Kobe. Everyone should be rocking a perfect Kobe for the rest of the year…this company is despicable.

i’m not gonna sit here and defend 2k, but they made a smart choice not releasing anything. people would’ve bashed 2k for making anything kobe related. now people are gonna be upset that 2k didn’t do anything as a tribute to kobe…

There’s a good chance they don’t have the legal rights to release a Kobe card, bro. Simmer down and bring the angst somewhere else.
They aren’t gonna sacrifice major profits just because Kobe died. It’s tragic, but that doesn’t mean they will:
A) Release a potentially illegal card and get sued, or
B) Release a 99 everything card that will make people not wanna rip packs for a different card down the line
And they have no obligation to do so just because an incredibly popular player died so tragically. I too would love a Kobe tribute of some kind, but I would also love a 99 everything Vince Carter. Can’t expect anything

You have it all wrong…2K has ripped people off for far too long. It is time for them to step up to the plate and do the right thing. Only excuse they have is if they don’t have the license and I am assuming they do or they would have to pull the Kobe cards that are in the game. I was never a Kobe fan or a Lakers fan and I do not give a shit about how good my team is. I am simply calling a spade a spade. You should reconsider your perspective.
TBH Kobe’s death has made me wonder why I even play this game…it has forced me to look in the mirror and question a lot of things about who I am. 2K should do the same.
