I finally did it

I know 12-0s aren’t that big of a deal here cuz most of the people I know here are good at this game.
But after 7 9-1 runs, 3 10-0 runs, 2 11-1 run (pink diamond manu :frowning: ) and countless 8 or below runs since 2k19 to now.
Finally hit 12-0

For the people that are struggling to get thier first 12-0
Here are tips that could help:

Remember this game really can drain you mentally. Dont play whenever your mad it never ends well. Pace each game.

This thread by @EarvGotti helped me alot and I think can help you and change my entire defensive game. Dont make it the end all and adjust when your opponent figures it out.

Run a 5 man lineup with 3 elite cards and emerald issac and a good silver/gold (I recommend silver KP Jr his jumper is fire). Do this if you are still struggling it should help get you a 1-3 wins.

Congrats! 12-0 is not easy. Don’t let the sample of people here convince you otherwise. It’s a difficult task and glad you pulled it off.

Did you use 3 elite player and 2 lower level cards for all 12 games? Every time I do this I run into at least 1 or 2 full opal squads ://

I used it for the last 2 but it is possible to do it for all 12.

Its mostly off of overall. The best overall for matchmaking is 80-85. If you can get your team to that you should be able to face up people doing the same thing or new player starting the game.

What did it cost you anything or everything .

Yeah it’s really easy to lose confidence and give up. Especially when most the players you face is sweats.

Yeah when I hit 12-0 for the first time last year my mental state needed to be cool in the later games. You gotta go in with a confidence that if you lose at least the pressure of going 12-0 is over and the other games can be practice (unless you are going for 11-1 or something). Now I dont do it myself cause around game 8 or 9 I start to get jumpy. Some games are super stressful and I decided its not good for my health lol. I only play MTU to mess around and hopefully find someone to actually have a good game with. Another big tip is you gotta have somebody that you know you can green an open 3 with 90% of the time. For me last year it was Tmac. Then you build a team of different gem colors to avoid equalizer. Whether its true or not I’ve honestly never seen someone go 12-0 with a god squad. And by god squad I mean all opals and maybe 1-3 PD throughout the entire 13 slots.

Yeah at 10-0 I had no confidence in 2K’s matchmaking and went with the gem lineup.
Now that’s it’s over its definitely gonna be more enjoyable to play MTU with 12-0 off my back

Congrats Bro!! Have fun.
