Watching Space’s new vid laying in bed, and saw a dope ass move that i totally forgot about and totally forgot how to do… now i can’t go to sleep until i know.
How do you use lead passing to execute an oop?
Like pressing Triangle to get your man to cut to the basket, but being able to throw him an opp instead of just a regular pass? Can anyone tell me this?
Or do you have to use full reciever control and do something else?
Holy cow! RB cancels the pass - I didn’t know that!
I always used B for that (Y+B = fake pass) but that makes you lose live dribble.
I just checked the RB method - it is so much better, thanks!
Strange thing – in the Controls and Tips section in-game there’s no info about RB.
Theres a lot of lil things like that in game. Full reciever control helps for me. Icon passing and moving the guy off ball helps me a lot. Avoids those annoying cuts wide open
Icon lead passing + full receiver control is a must in TTO.
With icon lead passing you can control the receiver’s run while passing it with icon pass.
This is most useful to prevent useless cuts instead of staying wide open.
Full receiver control replaces handoff and is the most OP thing in TTO.
You can freely control that player while holding bounce pass button.
If someone reaches, they’re done. Easy run around the inbounder for open 3 on the wing.
You can also manually call for a cut from the play menu in full games. This works better against off ballers IMO because the “Y” cut seems to trigger an animation that the player can more easily react to. The Play call seems to be more immediate.
I can’t wait to incorporate these into my gameplay. I’m going to practice in Dom, since i’m committed to finishing Fantasy Dom and stacking those tokens. Plus those jersey cards will help, im only 46 cards away from the collector level right before Webber. That 100k will help!
