They are charging $10 and $20 for battle passes this year. First sports game to do this. Game companies just don’t care anymore. They charge you $70 for a yearly game that barely changes and they try to nickel and dime you for everything in that game.
So yes even the season is pay to win now. There are 40 levels you don’t even get access to without paying up monthly. And you get double or triple the rewards for every level if you pay up.
Also they are selling $2 level skips so people who throw away money at 2k can get all the rewards seconds into the new season.
Yeah, I’m defintely out. This just gives me more reason not to purchase the game. The game should be free at this point for how much it’s going to cost for all the bells and whistles on top of the initial purchase. Greed at its worst.
It was going to happen when people started buying $50 players. I wouldn’t be surprised if they get rid of the auction house. It was a shitty ass move i wouldn’t be shocked it the rewards for reg level was crap on purpose to get folks to buy hof level.
If they make it that’s because some are willing to pay (i’m not) … so if i was them i would do the same , they are not making games for charity guys , like salt bae with his 2000$ gold steak , if ppl want to pay more to have something exclusive i’ll give them … you need to understand the 2 parts of a deal not only one
Salt bae doesn’t hold a monopoly on steaks. If you are charging so much for a version of a game so of the premium content should be free. The hof edition is $149 then hof season pass is $180 that is crap. If your charging for seasons the game should be free like Call of Duty. 2k isn’t running a charity it’s looks more like a ponzi scheme.
