I run most of my 3 point plays through my shooting guard, and I figured Gilbert would be a great player with all his shooting badges. I would also match up Magic with the other team’s shooting guard on defense. Is this a good way to utilize him, or should he have the ball in his hands running the offense?
He doesn’t have regular 3p plays, sidenote. You’ll have to run through someone else or fist plays.
I think he might be better at SG btw.

Yeah, that’s what I heard. I know a few plays that run through the shooting guard though.
not sure if its true but hof fast break badge feels much more effective on sg’s because while pg’s waiting for the ball after rebound, sg’s run for fastbreaks
might be another reason to run him as sg

I’m pretty sure hof one man fast break increases speed with ball and ball control with the ball on a fast break. I think it applies to player with the ball, not off the ball.

I run Kyrie at the 2 doing the same thing you mentioned with Magic and it’s a good way to hide a defensive liability but a truly brilliant player will expose it

I’d say Gilbert and small guards in general can be posted up and taken down low. I honestly have him guard whoever the smaller guard is because if I put him on a Magic he’ll get squashed. Say a Magic at the 1 and kobe/mj/Durant etc at the 2. I’ve noticed that SG position has a lot of varying but then again which position doesn’t

Makes sense. I’m afraid of running into those type of lineups where I need to have Magic on the point guard, such as Giannis and KD or Paul George at shooting guard. However, if I need to I can change my lineup, and move Gilbert to my bench point guard, and play Hedo at the 2. I have an 11th man in Luol Deng for when I need to move Hedo to shooting guard.

I started running him at SG with Magic because of Magic’s HoF dimer and Gilbert’s HoF shooting badges.
Then I have CP3 and Klay with the second unit for the same reason.
