I was doing some light reading lastnight and it got me thinking, who are some NBA stars that people seem to forget just how good they were?. They don’t have to be totally forgotten as in nobody remembers them but forgotten as is in how damn good they actually were.
Kevin Martin. He was constantly injured and sort of faded into obscurity in Minnesota in his later years. When he was healthy though he was lethal. Could get to the line anytime he wanted with great 6’7 size at shooting guard. He averaged 25 a game one season and consistently in the low-mid 20s when healthy. Not a star necessarily, but someone who could really play.
Wilt Chamberlain (as much as he’s brought up in GOAT talks, it’s not enough)
John Havlicek
Moses Malone
Adrian Dantley
Elgin Baylor
Grant Hill
James Worthy
Bernard King
Rod Strickland
Gilbert Arenas
Steve Francis
Kevin Martin
He was legit a more efficient, second coming of Kobe imo for a few years. Had the clutch gene, nasty dunks, and everything else. Shame what happened to him
