Cobra Kai is like a nostalgia wet dream for me. I watched the Karate Kid like 300 times growing up. Had the headband, took Karate at the Y, the whole 9.

Lmao idk if it was just me but that show had me rooting for Johnny more than for Daniel when in the movies it was the exact opposite. Season 1 was fantastic so I can’t wait to watch season 2

Yeah man, the genius of it is you root for Johnny. When Kreese came back at the end of season 1, I absolutely lost my shit.

Last year, my senior year in HS, I couldn’t help but watch Karate Kid 1 + 2 at least once a week. Sometimes mix in Cobra Kai episodes for fun. I even grew fond of KK3, which has my favorite sports training montage ever (Daniel on the beach).

I own 1 and 2, but haven’t seen 3 since the 90s. I’ll have to pick it back up, all I remember is Terry Silver, that wooden guy, and the bonzai tree on the ocean cliff.

Terry Silver is just hilarious, and I’m hoping they find a way to bring him back. Kreese is “really sick man” but Silver is such a cliche, insane 90’s villian…
The theory I read is that Miguel’s mom met Terry in Mexico, and that Terry is Miguel’s dad.
That may be one too many character callbacks, though.

Okay - Watched KK3 last night for the first time in like 30 years . . . Man, that is a bad movie. I don’t even know where to begin. KK1 is a 10/10, KK2 is like 7/10, and KK3 is like 2/10. Oof. I almost wish I didn’t watch it again 
The only remotely redeeming thing is that Terry Silver’s Karate moves looked great

Just finished Cobra Kai season 2 last night… and wow. Everything from episode 6-10 was awesome, especially the flashback with the old Cobra Kai guys. So it turns out Tommy is the one who got put in a body-bag.
Also, how the hell did they actually make me feel for Daniel’s mom? That shit was SAD.
I’m still a bit shook from the ending, but that only means that I’m looking forward to Season 3 even more.

Yeah - It starts off amazing, then there’s a couple of episodes that are pretty good, but then it finishes so fucking awesome.
And Stingray - Hated that guy at first, and eventually he was hilarious.

I totally saw the whole Hawk/ Kreese going somewhere bad. Now I think it’s time for Danny and Johnny to team up, take down Cobra Kai once and for all.
Also, Ali (with an I) I guess is coming back too.

I just hope they have a general plan to wrap up the story within 3-4 seasons. It can’t get drug out forever without it starting to get silly, but it could be legendary like Breaking Bad for knowing when and how to finish the storyline. I think you could do 2 more seasons - One with Miguel recovering, Robbie working out the inevitable legal issues, Daniel working out his (inevitable) marriage issues, Kreese and the Cobras wreaking havoc, and Johnny working through the loss of his dojo. Then Daniel and Johnny finally come together at the end of the season, and work together in Season 4 towards the inevitable All Valley You’re the Best finale between Miyagi Do and Cobra Kai.

Exactly! I love this show, but as you said, dragging it on too long should be avoided. I like where it’s going, and I really want a good conclusion, but I don’t want to wait YEARS for it, and I don’t think others do either.
All I want is the return of Terry Silver. Terry v Johnny would be an awesome match-up, maybe throw in Daniel and Kreese too. Johnny and Daniel vs Kreese and Terry whilst doing the circle-balance-dance thing.

I could totally see Silver coming back to team up with Kreese. Rumor has it he could be Miguel’s father, that’d be some Darth Vader-Luke Skywalker shit right there.
