Haven’t seen it written like that and not when talking about MT… that’s what threw me off.
I’ve heard people say stuff like… I pocketed 50 gees. But when its written people would likely say I pocketed $50,000 or 50k … never seen someone actually write the gs for gees.
In New Orleans we don’t say gees anymore.
It would be 50 Thou… 50 racks… 50k … A whole 50… 50

Example…

If I hear Gs, im assuming its talk about money (grand, thou racks and stacks are common vernacular i hear)

However if I ever see g typed im always thinking green herbs not green bills
