I know I recently posted about this the other day as well about what sites are best to buy from but I’d like to start a thread for the collectors on here to discuss this. I think its awesome that we can talk about different stuff on here besides 2k. I want to ask whats the best thing you’ve got from a pack whether it be a hobby box, or a random pack lol. So far for me its been that memorabilia of Trae Young threads from his rookie season and of course i have a rookie Doncic card as well lol. Besides that I have a auto of Dakari Johnson lol

So when I was in elementary school a local D3 college ran basketball camps, and the head coach used to be an NBA player, they sold card packs there and I managed to pull his card and he signed it for me.

Also wanted to say if you got any luka rookie cards i think the value on those rn are pretty good. that prism one i have might be worth a good amount rn

He wasn’t a prominent player, his name is Tod Murphy, but I think the fact that he was a pretty random player made the find more rare.

agreed. I will say im gonna try my luck to get some doncic rookie cards from past boxes due to the value rn. they seem to be a good price rn and they will be worth a fortune in a few years depending on quality

same to you on your collecting if you still do. Im doing it as both a way to kinda make a little but also do some collecting of my own. the luka i have now may not be the worst or best condition but it doesnt seem too bad. i gotta keep collecting because i love doing it alot but if i get some great autos from boxes that will be sweet

Ive got a few cool ones ill throw a pic up later after work. Doubt they are worth anything but yeah haha i love basketball cards too! I used to play some other tcgs heavily and used them as placeholders etc.

Is it the panini sets that are actually worth something?? Haha yeah i had to have all my celtics 
wish there was a kind of throwback set i could buy locally, would love a larry legend and pippen. The recent ones i have look sick though, cant wait to share

Some cards in the recent years panini sets are worth a bit. Rookie auto’s like doncic , zion and trae young should be worth a little bit id assume especially zion and doncic. Also if you buy the older packs with Giannis rookie year and pull some of his rookie cards you wanna keep those as well because those might be worth a lot rn as well

Best IRL Card I’ve pulled is a Danny Manning patch auto, #'d to 25, also have a nurkic auto

What boxes did you end up getting?
I haven’t got any yet. My step mother is gonna pick some up today hopefully if she remembers lol. I should be getting 2 probably gonna be the same ones lol. Most likely the new 2019-20 hoops boxes…
