Only took me 4 days to climb from 400 to 500 cards. Bought a lot of jerseys on the low while also flipping any duplicates I got at the same time.
Haven’t made any extra progress on Domination, still at 18/99. For Amare, I’ve lost at 11-0 and 10-0 and 7-0… Currently 3-0 and still trying to get Amare, since it’s an extra free card.
Long 250 cards to go for the next collection reward, Isaiah Thomas, but with the tons of jerseys available, I think it’ll go by pretty quickly.
I know some people have made it to Eddie Jones & some are even farther! How’s everyone else’s grind going on?
I stopped at 500, I won’t use IT, Eddie Jones is a 3&D player but his ruby is good enough in that department, tokens aren’t as valuable with the non name brand players in the market and everything else later on will get lesser version of them that service a similar purpose, I sold back everything from 500 cards and made about 250,000 mt
Im sitting around 1100 cards currently. Picked up a ton during the Wilt pack release. Hoping to get the 200 tokens next good pack release. Then to get to 900 wins in ttoffline and I should be close to picking up D Rob
540 cards now. Making a slow crawl where I just pick stuff up cheap on a filter and sell any dupes. Not in a rush for anything but trying to build up the collection while keeping a decent stack of Mt.
None of the token reward players really appeal to me. I have a plan to take the 12 Amy’s to unlock the diamond level and stop there. Then I will just horde tokens so if they release new diamonds/pd/Opal down the road I can burn tokens on the new guys as I unlock further.
Just hit 790. Another 210 to go for Eddie Jones. As a Temple fan, he’s always been a favorite, so even if he’s outclassed by the time I reach him I still want him in the collection. I, too, have been grabbing cheap uniforms on bid, usually bidding no more than 350 on ones posted for 250 min. They get lost in the shuffle with people searching out player cards. You can pick up playbooks for that small amount, too. Arenas and logos are weird. Some go for 3k and others nobody even sniffs at. Haven’t figured out that market yet.
Unfortunately, that’s true. Always towards the end of the year, better and better cards are released, but it helps having these beginning sets because they tend to sell for a decent sum towards the end as well. If you don’t plan on grinding all the way for collector levels, then you might as well liquidate what you have right away.
Dang! More than double my cards lol. I’ve slowly been going through TTOffline. Just waiting for them to add in another reward card there and then I play until I get it.
This is smart. Always good to go slowly through collector levels and buy cards at a good value. As for tokens, I tend to just buy every card at every level since it just boosts the collector level that much more.
Good tips here. I’ve been overspending a bit on the uniforms, usually settling at around 500 per.
I’m on my third sell off after reaching 1750. I went from 1750 with no premium cards on the first sell off to about 1715 with a good squad and 1 million MT now.
Interesting idea unlocking all 30 emeralds and so on. I’ve considered this strategy for the increased card count. I’m just not sure if I’ll end up with enough tokens and I want to be ready for when they drop 5-10 new opals down the line, not having bought up many undesirable cards with flaws along the way leaving myself short tokens.
I suppose if I really load up a lot of tokens and the math works out, I will go back and buy up the remaining emeralds, sapphires and stuff. You’re right the addition to the total card count makes a hell of a difference doing it your way.
At 1316 on a no money spent account, I have all the cards with the exception of heat checks and current amethysts because I know those will eventually be 10k or less, also haven’t bothered getting any of the token rewards since they’re all wack
Probably beginning of season they’d release. I don’t remember when Heat Check released last season.

Yeah, just an idea. If you’re really focused on the Opals, I’d say stay away from getting all emeralds, etc. If you care more about 2,900 or the achievement, I’d say go for it. In the long run, it’ll make it happen faster, but they should release more and more content that’ll make it possible even if you don’t spend tokens on all the lower-tiered cards.
Impressive work. Silvers are expensive! I haven’t really looked at the market for them much since they tend to go for like 4k a pop
The prices of silvers are ridiculous. I haven’t locked a single current collection yet because of that. I’m thinking there will be opportunities down the road to pickup silvers cheaper when they become more abundant during mass pack openings. Certain time windows they may go for 2k a piece or less then shoot back up.
I think silvers are pretty reasonable right now. If you check over a week time you can probably scoop up all the silvers from the Hawks, Blazers, Grizzlies, Suns, Pelicans, Pistons, Wizards, Knicks, 76ers, and Bulls for under 4.5K MT.
I locked the Bucks, Hornets, and Spurs so I don’t check those as often. Rockets, Mavericks, Lakers, Nets, Warriors, and Clippers are low value.
That leaves:

4.5k per silver still seems too much for me at this stage. That’s got to be about 500k Mt on silvers alone. I do really appreciate you drawing up this list though. Gives me something to reference.
